Again, I have not blogged in a very long time.  Actually, I was making regular blogposts at myanimelist.com regarding a project on Yokohama Kaidashii Kikou, so there’s some idiocy from me there if you’re interested.  Username: Jiji.

It’s amazing to me how quickly things like a blog can slip away from a person.  I mean, the last post was January??

Of course, there’s various reasons for this.  And while I originally intended for this blog to be little more than a holding place for my better reviews, I think I’d better make some posts in the tradition of the original purpose of blogging: news and such for family and friends.  If you don’t care, then don’t comment and move on.

Well, I finally give in and start a blog. And I’m betting I won’t update it as much as I’d like.

I’m going to write about topics that I feel need addressing (rant), and I’m also going to do reviews of anime and manga, old and new. My goal is to perhaps teach a few things to people that they didn’t know–not because I’m trying to look smarter than everyone else, but just so that there’s food for thought for you.

I’m a teacher of English and a freelance writer with degrees in English, Geology, and a Master’s in English. I’ve studied film theory a bit also, so I tend to use all that training to analyze anime, manga and just about anything else that crosses my path. I’ve studied traditional karate for 16 years and kendo for 2.

Well, let’s see how this blog evolves and into what.  Should be interesting.
